This Saturday I turned 25! It is a fun age to turn actually. I was talking to my best friend, and Maid of Honor, Lauren, who is exactly one month older than me, about turning 25. We both agreed that it feels like we are officially adults, and that saying your 25 definitly feels cooler than saying 24! Weird? I know.
My Birthday celebration started on Thursday at work, when my co-workers brought in a chocolate cake from Toojays to celebrate! I love Toojay’s bakery! It is so delicious!
Thursday evening, my co-workers also wanted to take me out for Happy Hour, so Brett met us up at Blue Martini at the Millenia Mall for some half priced drinks and apps! They have the best cheese tray and we split that with a BBQ Chicken Flat bread! I also enjoyed my favorite Martini, which is a Dirty Martini with blue cheese stuffed olives! I love them but Brett says they taste like ocean water!
The Birthday celebration continued until Friday night, when my parents, via their credit card, took Brett and I out to dinner! We chose to go to……
It was a tough choice between the Cheesecake Factory and Seasons 52, but we chose to stay close to home and head up the street the to the Cheesecake factory at the Millenia Mall. We started off with a small plate, as they called it, of crab and artichoke dip with grilled sourdough bread. We scarfed it down it was so good and fresh!
They added a section called small plates and snacks, which were like smaller portioned appetizers and salads and this was the perfect size for two people to share without wasting food, or being too full for dinner! I enjoyed the Orange chicken as my entrée.
I had never had the orange chicken before, but it was delicious! It had orange zest in it which really brought out the flavors of oranges! I also tasted the ginger in the dish as well, which I loved! It was a huge portion and Brett and I both ended up taking home half of both of our dishes as leftovers! There was no cheesecake brought home this time, only because I had half of the chocolate cake from Toojay’s at home, ready to be eaten! Yum!!
Saturday Morning, Brett and I cleaned up the house, headed to the gym for a little bit, while waiting for our friends Loreyn and Thomas to come up from Tampa. We had plans to go to Moonfish for Dinner, because they have amazing sushi and a really good Happy Hour. We ordered about 4 times, with grilled oysters in one round, sushi in another round, shrimp cocktail, and finally another round of sushi!
