Recipe of the Week

This week’s recipe, was homemade pizza! I have been wanting to make a pizza at home for the longest time, and when I saw that Pillsbury made pizza crust, and it was on sale this week at the store, I HAD to get it!


  • Pillsbury Traditional Pizza Crust
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Fresh Tomato
  • 2% Mozzarella Cheese
  • Mushrooms
  • Non-stick Cooking Spray
I was preparing the pizza when I realized I didn’t take a picture of the ingredients, so I was already a little bit into preparing the dish, but you get the idea. :)


Pizza is so easy to make, and it’s really hard to mess up when you make it at home, especially when you don’t need to prepare the dough! All you have to do, is spray a cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray and lay out the dough pressing it to your desired thickness. Then, just top it with the sauce, cheese, and whatever toppings you want, in my case it was mushrooms and tomatoes.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees before you begin, and cook it for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.

Right before the pizza was done, I put the oven on broil and cooked it for about 2 minutes, watching it closely, to brown the cheese and crisp up the crust.


On the side, I served a strawberry fields salad, one of the packages at the grocery store with the ingredients and dressing that comes with it. I love them cause they are so easy to make and are always delicious!

Dinner was delicious, and Winston thought he was going to get some too! After we cleaned everything up, I turned about and this is what I saw:

"What about me?"

Silly Winston! Ok, time fore bed. Night!
