My first real morning workout to go along with my new fitness routine took place this morning.
I woke up early and in time to complete a 30 minute workout from this great iPhone App, Nike Fit Club.
It’s a great app that features 30 and 45 minute workouts just for women. You can choose the type of workout, whether it be to get lean, toned, strong, or focused, as well as choose your level, either beginner, intermediate, or advanced.
Since I am planning on taking a Dance Fitness class tonight, which is mostly cardio, I went for a beginner lever Get Strong workout.
The workout was fast pace, kept me moving, and I noticed that I was fully sweating only ten minutes in! Before I knew it, I was cooling down and my workout was finished!
It felt great to get moving and sweat this morning!
For breakfast, I made myself a protein shake to drink while getting ready for work.
I had half of a bag of the Yoplait Smoothie Mix left and added it to the blender.
Because I only had a little less than half, I took a cube of frozen Greek yogurt and some frozen banana pieces and added them as well to add thickness and a little more flavor.
Into the blender went the protein powder and about 1/2 a cup of milk and I blended it up together.
I went for flavorless protein at the store because I wanted to be free with my smoothie flavor choices and thought that I could mix it into other things such as oatmeal and yogurt, and I am liking it so far.
I am still getting used to the taste, so I only add about 3/4 of a scoop so that I don’t get too much of a protein after taste, and this morning’s smoothy was delicious!
Great start to the day!
