This week has been flying by! I cannot believe that it is already Thursday, and Thanksgiving is Next Week.
Is that right? Next Week? Wow, does time fly!
Anyways, this week has been going great and it feels good to get back into a gym routine. I have been doing good rotating my strength training DVDs and cardio every morning.
This morning I walked/ran for about 35 minutes, while reading my current book, Savages by Don Winslow. I actually saw the movie when it came out and loved it, so when I heard that it was a book first, and that it was written in a very unique style, I knew I had to read it. It is really good so far, and the movie followed the story line almost perfectly! I do enjoy Don Winslow’s style of writing too, it is very different!
Breakfast was my usual for the week, a cinnamon raisin bagel thin with cream cheese, coffee, and fresh fruit. Definitely a breakfast that I can’t get sick of.
I snacked on some almonds and some dried fruit before lunch.
For Lunch, I heat up some pulled pork that Brett made for dinner last night, and loaded it up on a piece of whole grain toast with melted sharp cheddar, and served up with a side of sliced apples.
I love when I think up a good lunch made up from leftovers!
My next snack was an Odwalla Fruit Bar.
I never had this type of bar before, and I was pleasantly surprised by the texture and flavor of it. It tasted like a more hearty and fiber filled Nutri-grain bar with chunks of whole blueberries in it. Very good and satisfying. I am gonna have to stock up on these things next grocery shop!
I popped in a chocolate calcium chew later on as well… baby’s got some growing bones and I gotta get my calcium intake!
Tonight I’ll be packing a preparing for our trip down to South Florida for a friend’s wedding!
