Birth-Week Celebration?

Tomorrow is my birthday, but I already feel like I have had the most special celebration!

Because so many people from the office were going to be traveling on my actual Birthday, on Friday I came into work and my office was all decorated with flowers, candy, gifts and “The Perfect Life” decor! It was such a good surprise because I was not expecting it at all!

And to top it off, the girls from the office took me out to Annie’s, a Greek restaurant Downtown that we all love!

It was such a fun day and great kick-off to the weekend. (Those mustaches look familiar?)

To keep the celebration going, on Saturday Night Brett and I went out to dinner to celebrate my B-day together, because he is going to be out of town for work on my actual birthday as well. (Sounds like a trend here!) We decided to go somewhere we have never been, and picked Roy’s Restaurant on Sandlake.

It was so delicious and fresh, and they really made the night special.

Our table was reserved with birthday ribbon and I had a special message printed in my menu!

And what girl doesn’t like Edamame to start off with instead of bread?

We started off with an apetizer of blue cheese and short rib dim sum. I had heard about dim sum, but never tried it, so thought this was the perfect opportunity.

The flavor of these were so savory, and they were served with a delicious tangy salad the complimented really well.

Our dishes were so unique too and my Asian flavored Butterfish, was a great sushi-like tasting entree to curb the cravings of Sushi that I just can’t fulfill right now.

It was also served with steamed white rice, bok choy and a fresh cucumber salad.

Brett decided on a Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi, which wasn’t as full flavor as mine, but still really fresh and delicious.

And for the grand finale, they offered us a souffle, their specialty, on the house, to celebrate my Birthday!

It was so rich and gooey and the raspberry drizzle was just perfect!

The server even took our picture for us from his own camera, printed it out, and presented it to me in a Roy’s frame to take home with us!

I really felt like they enjoy celebrating birthdays there and really made my night special. I would recommend anyone to go to Roy’s to celebrate a special occasion, because they go the extra step to make sure you feel special at the end of your meal.

Tomorrow, the celebration continues for my actual birthday! I took the day off and scheduled a doctor’s appointment in the morning, but my friend Fabiana has planned a special day for us to celebrate, since Brett is out of town.

I am looking forward to it!
