It has been 5 weeks since my last post! My goals are to post more frequently and I am hoping that I can meet them and share with you all of the exciting things going on in my life! But excitement means busy, and busy means tired Mommy-to-be which also means less posting. I am hoping to get back on it regularly!
But here is a glimpse of some of the exciting things that have been going on:
My due date is only 5 weeks away, and it is creeping up fast! I just can’t believe how my life is going to change in just a few weeks! It is exciting and terrifying all at the same time!
Previously, I would openly say to people who asked, “Are you ready?” that I am definitely NOT ready for such a huge change. But the closer the date is coming, the more and more prepared and ready I am feeling about this amazing addition to our lives!
I have been reading books and articles, I already pre-registered at the hospital and signed up for a Lamaze class, finished the nursery (the necessities at least) discussed maternity leave with work and family, found a pediatrician, purchased a stroller and car seat, have the necessities for the first month and feeling really confident in my knowledge of having a newborn! Brett has been really excited as well and always calms me down by saying we are as ready as anyone can possibly be. We have a great house in a great neighborhood, family willing to help out, great jobs and a lot of baby supplies and backup supply of gift cards!
It is making me feel more and more ready to take on this new chapter in our lives and I cannot wait to meet little Rylee! There are two things that get me so excited and happy about finally meeting her. My biggest curiosity is what she is going to look like. I just cannot wait to see her face and what parts of Brett and I she has. I also cannot wait to see Brett be a Dad. He always turns down the opportunity to hold a baby, so I cannot wait to see him with his little girl in his arms! He is going to be a GREAT Daddy.
Tomorrow is the 35 week mark, so I will be sure to capture a photo of the belly… it is getting out there!
