Insanity Day 2


Todays workout consisted of the dreaded Plyometrics routine.

I learned about the term Plyometrics while attempting to complete the P90X program. And consequently, it was the plyo routine that had me calling it quits on that one, so I was really not looking forward to Insanity’s plyo workout.

But, because Brett and I are in this together, I gave it a shot.

The workout started with a lengthy cardio warmup and 5 minutes of stretch time before going into a circuit routine that we completed three times. The warmup itself got us going and I actually really enjoyed the first circuit! It was fast paced and the moves weren’t too complicated but kept us engaged.

Now the second circuit was… do I have to say it? (INSANE!!!!!!)

The moves were complicated and intense and Brett and I had to take a lot of breaks, but I know as we continue the program it will become easier. (Well, maybe… even the folks in the video were dying!)

I’m glad we completed Day 2 and are still motivated to continue! It was great to feel the burn and sweat it out!!

Here we come Day 3!
