I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July Weekend!
How many of you watched the movie Independence Day? How many of you watched it 6 times over the the weekend? We did!
That is one of Brett and I’s favorite movies! Every time it is on TV we just can’t seem to get ourselves to switch it off. Even though we own it, we still sit through the commercials to watch it. Does anyone else feel the same way!? I think it is a classic for our generation.
Anyways, Brett, Rylee and I had a great weekend visiting my parents at their timeshare in Singer Island this past weekend.
I have been going there for years and it was so crazy being able to bring my daughter there for the first time.
We did let her test the water and she seemed to like it! I don’t think she really knew what was going on though! Being there at the pool made me so excited to teach her how to swim and see her reactions to being in the water. There were so many infants there it was so crazy to think that Rylee will be their age soon and able to actually enjoy the water.
The first full day we had the most sun in the morning, but other then that, it pretty much rained the entire time. Which was fine because we got to relax with the family, it was so hot for Rylee to be outside for too long anyways, and at night Brett and I got “Adult Time” down by the pool in the jacuzzi and got to hang with all the young-ins. It brought us back!
We did get to celebrate Brett’s and my mom’s belated birthday out to dinner at a great seafood restaurant on the inter-coastal.
As always, the weekend flew by way to fast and we had to head home back to reality.
Can’t wait to go back when Rylee can start to enjoy the water more!
