It is certainly true what they say about time flying by once you have a child.
I cannot believe that this week it was already time to take Rylee to her 4 month checkup at the doctor’s. I was so excited to get her on the scale to see how big she is now!
Anyone wanna take a guess to how much she weighs? My guess was 14 pounds.
I was close! 13 Pounds 15 ounces! Wow! She is about to pass up Winston!
It was all fun and amazing to hear the great things about Rylee’s growth and health. She is responding well to the things around her, and a little bit to her name, she’s at the perfect height and weight for her age, eating sleeping and pooping well (TMI?), no teeth yet, but smiling at everything!
Then… it was time for shots. I was not present at her 2 month appointment where she got her first few vaccinations, but I had to witness it this time.
It was hard to see her cry at the pinches of the needle, but right when they were over I scooped her up and once she was in my arms, she was just fine.
It is definitely hard to see my little angel getting so many shots at one time being so young, but I am not against vaccinations at all. Reading about the kind of diseases that these vaccination prevents, it’s really scary to me to think that some children aren’t getting vaccinated these days. These illnesses killed a lot of people in the past, in very painful ways, and I would never want my child to suffer through them. We are lucky to have found cures for them today. I have read that there is a fear that your child could get autism, but I have also read that it is very unlikely.
Are there any moms out there who would like to share their opinion on this? I am curious to hear from moms who decided not to get their child vaccinated and why.
