It’s that time of year again. The start of NFL Football. And that means your gonna be hearing the words “fantasy football” a lot. I must say, if you are someone who gets the sport and is constantly around others who can’t go a weekend without watching it, fantasy is a great way to learn more about the teams and players and gets you excited and involved in almost every game. I love the competitive action that it brings to every Sunday and it makes for a great Sunday Funday with all those football lovers in your life!
Every year Brett’s Dad starts a league for the family to join and holds a live draft at Peggy’s, our favorite local pub in Palm Harbor.
The weekend is always full of family gatherings and good eats!
And this year, Rylee got to meet one of her cousins!
Kendall is the youngest of the cousins and very into babies right now. She was a little shy, but could not wait to hold baby Rylee!
Rylee looks almost as big as her in that photo! Must be the chubby cheeks and jelly roll thighs!
All the adult cousins, their spouses, and my brother, got to go out without their children (those who have them) on Saturday night, which was such a blast.
We all went out to Clearwater Beach for dinner at Frenchy’s and some bar hopping.
I enjoyed a walnut crusted grouper salad.
The bars along the beach were super lively, because of College Game day – the first weekend of college football.
We had a such a fun time out on the town.
But it was time to get home and get our heads in the game! The draft was at noon the next day.
I was so lucky to have my own little cheerleader with me!
I think the family is becoming pros at drafting, since we are in our third year, the the draft went super smooth and was quicker than I remember.
I’m pretty happy with my final line up.
Plus, I’m projected to win against Brett’s Dad next week. Nice!
