30 Day Ab Challenge Days 9

Happy Friday!

Today I got up early to complete my daily ab workout and tried switching things up a bit to make it more interesting.

Day 9 resulted in the following routine:

  • I started off with Triple Plank Hops this time: Triple Plank Hops (1 left, 1 center, 1 right, 1 center = 1 Triple Plank Hop)
    • 1 set of 20
    • 1 set of 10
    • 1 set of 12
    • 1 set of 13
    • Total = 55
  • Then half way through started on Bicycle Crunches (1 on each leg = 1 Bicycle Crunch)
    • 1 set of 50
    • 1 set of 30
    • Total = 80
  • Finished up the remaining Triple Plank Hops:
    • 1 set of 17
    • 1 set of 13
    • 1 set of 13
    • 1 set of 12
    • Total = 55
  • And finished strong (kind of) with Bicycle Crunches:
    • 1 set of 50

Total Workout Time: 22 1/2 minutes.

Breaking up the routing this way definitely helped me to – mentally – complete this many Triple Plank Hops. 110 is a very intimidating number!

I was full of sweat by the end of this routine and my heart rate was up. The neat things about these exercises is that they are very aerobic movements which gets you breathing heavy and is a good cardio workout too.
