I love coming across new healthy products at the grocery store. And when they end up exceeding my expectations, I am super excited to introduce them into my weekly meal plan.
Recently I have come across two products in the store that I gave a shot and I am so glad I did!
The first was a new yogurt brand, Muller, and their Fruit Up yogurts.
They are lowfat yogurts with a puree of fruit on the top. They have a few different varieties and I have tried them all. My favorite is definitely the strawberry.
I love the consistency of the yogurt with the fruit puree on top. I am pretty picky when it comes to the texture of the foods I am eating, and some kinds of yogurt are just a little too… yogurty for me (if that makes sense). I loved the combo of the fruit smoothy at the top and the yogurt in the perfect proportions.
For a while, I was eating one of these every morning for breakfast!
I also came across an awesome salad mix in the produce section of Publix.
I’ve mentioned before how I love to bring salads to work, since they are super easy to prepare for the week and are actually really delicious and filling.
I usually like to assemble my own ingredients to make my salads, but when I came across this pre-prepared bag salad, I was very intrigued.
It included a bunch of ingredients that I had never tried in a salad before, like kale, chicory, brussels sprouts, roasted pumpkin seeds and I loved that it boasted the fact that the mix contained 7 superfoods.
I was pleasantly surprised by the mix of flavors in this salad. The bitter greens with the sweet poppy seed dressing complimented each other very nicely.
It was such a great find and a super easy mid-week lunch to prepare. I split the bag into two portions and added some Boar’s Head chicken for protein to make lunch for 2 days.
