I hope everyone’s day is going great so far!
Today has been zooming by at work and I finally had a moment to eat lunch and get onto the blog this afternoon.
I am so excited to announce that I finally signed up for a gym membership this past weekend! I don’t remember a time when I did not have one, but after we moved to our new home, away from my Vixen Fitness Studio that I loved, and since I was pregnant at the time, a gym membership didn’t seem like the right fit for me.
After fully recovering from delivery, I decided to try something different and signed up for Crossfit Bootcamp, which whipped me into shape real fast. I purchased a Groupon for a 4 week program and it was an awesome workout. I really felt such difference in that time, but Crossfit Gyms are just too expensive for our family right now, so I decided not to continue.
After my 4 weeks of Crossfit Bootcamp, I started running on the trail more and completing Nike Training Club workouts in my backyard and started training for my Dirty Girl Mud Run (let me know if you want to join me and I can give you a 20% discount code! ) with an obstacle race workout that I made up.
Because I miss going to group fitness classes, having gym equipment at my disposal and especially now that I need to really focus on my training, I wanted to get back to membership status.
My first mission upon getting back to the gym was to take a spin class. Mission accomplished! Last night I took a class and it felt great! However, my bum is a bit soar. And not muscle soar. I forgot it takes getting used to sitting on those bike seats. Ouch!
Anyways, I am super excited to start a full body training regime for the Dirty Girl Mud Run on November 23. I’m heading there after work today so I’ll let you know what my routine looks like.
The Best Dad Printable
Moving on to something that I really wanted to share with you all, is my very first Printable!
I created this printable, with some personalized photos of Rylee, for my Dad’s Birthday that we celebrated back in August. I just loved the message so much that I wanted to share the opportunity for others to download and print this out for their father’s birthday or for Father’s Day.
It would look really great in in a frame and make for a thoughtful yet inexpensive gift.
Below are two options for download, one for those who have a son and the other if you have a daughter.
Happy Father’s Day – Boy Download
Happy Father’s Day – Girl Download
Please let me know how the download links work for you in my comments section below. This is the first time I have posted printable files so I want to make sure they work well for everyone!
I would love to hear from those who print and give as gifts how you like them and how they were received! Thank you for reading!
