I am inspired!
This past weekend I had the opportunity to attend the FLBlogCon’s first ever Forum. FLBlogCon puts on a big conference for Florida Bloggers every year where they can learn all about the latest trends in blogging. I wanted to attend last year, but I was sent to Arizona for work that weekend and had to withdraw my registration.
Which is why I was so excited that they have decided to host Forum’s throughout 2014 leading up to this year’s conference! I was too anxious to wait a whole year, so this was perfect!
It was held at the most unique little venue here in Central Florida called the East End Market.
I wasn’t really sure what to expect out of the place at first because the name led me to believe it was a new farmer’s market, but the fact that an event was taking place there had me confused. Was it a marketplace or a venue?
Well, it’s both!
And it is an entirely green building who’s atmosphere is so rustic and artistic with tons of vendors whose products were fresh and unique.
My mom attending the Forum with me and she was equally impressed. We arrived early and had the perfect amount of time to try out some of the vendors for lunch.
We enjoyed a delicious portobello mushroom, artichoke and kalamata cream cheese sandwich on a whole grain ciabatta bread from Fatto in casa and a sundried tomato and goat cheese flat bread that was so fresh and amazing from La Femme Du Fromage. When we told the owner of La Femme Du Fromage that the mozzarella was delicious, she replied, “Yeah, it was made like… Monday.”
My mom and I looked at each other in amazement. You never hear that!
After enjoying our lunch, it was time to head upstairs to the venue part of East End Market for the Forum.
It was so inspirational! I have never attended a blogger’s conference before and the knowledge and advice that these other bloggers were willing to share was wonderful. I couldn’t wait to learn more.
Leaving the Forum, my head was spinning with ideas that it sparked, but I was even more excited to mix and mingle with the other bloggers who attended.
And that was even more of a great time! I met so many great people at the bar during the mix and mingle and I am looking forward to keeping in touch with them as we all continue to grow in our community as bloggers.

I loved connecting with other bloggers. It was so interesting to hear what they write about and everyone was so nice. I have already learned so much from attending this event and I cannot wait to put into action what I have learned!
And I must give a shout out to a good friend of mine, now we are both bloggers, who won a Sunshine Blog Award that was announced at the Forum! Rebecca from Love at First Book. Congrats again on your award for best blog in the Fine Arts/Literature category!
