Made with Love Valentine’s Day Treats

Happy Valentine’s Day!!

I hope everyone has a great day spreading love with friends and family today! :)

I think I may have started a family tradition this year making Valentine’s Day Treats for Rylee’s teachers at school and for my co-workers!

Made With Love Valentine's Day Treats

Rylee hung out with me in the kitchen as I made these treats for her teachers at daycare, so I feel like she was a good little helper! It made me fast forward a few years when she is a little older and can actually help me unravel all the Hershey’s kisses!

I love variety, so I made two different flavors of treats. The plain milk chocolate Hershey Kiss and a white cream raspberry chocolate Hershey Kiss. Yum!

I put both flavor kisses on the tray together to put into the oven to melt them slightly. I thought it would make for a pretty picture with them mixed together, but I quickly realized that the raspberry kisses melt much faster than the milk chocolate! They only needed 1 1/2 minutes to melt but the milk chocolate took about 2 minutes.

So in my next batch, I made sure to keep them separate so they could both melt perfectly! DSC00281

Then I just place the Valentine’s Day themed M&M’s on top of the kisses and slightly pressed down.

I put them in the fridge overnight to cool.

For the packaging, I found cute V-day bags at the store and searched the web for some cute labels to print out.

I folded them over so that the back side read “To: and From:” and then used them to seal the bags by stapling the labels to them.

This is such a quick and easy treat to make to give out on Valentine’s Day.

And they taste delicious too! I had to make some extras to keep at home! :)

I am excited to celebrate Valentine’s Day tonight with Brett. He has been gone for work all week, so I am just looking forward to spending some time with him. We are staying in, but planned a fun, semi-surprise dinner for tonight.

I planned the appetizer, salad and dessert and Brett planned the entree and side dish. We are just going to cook together at home, enjoy our new patio furniture in the backyard and be home so Rylee is comfortable and can get to bed at her normal time. Whenever we go out to eat she always gets so tired, but she’s stuck in the highchair and I feel bad that we can’t put her to sleep!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day today!

What are your plans for Valentine’s Day? Are you going out or laying low and staying in?

Would love to hear from you in the comments section below!
