Spring Pool Time & Backyard BBQ

This past weekend was another lovely weekend with the family.

It started off with a big breakfast at home before heading to the pool.

It is so easy to want to go out to a big breakfast on a Saturday morning, but it feels so good to stay at home and enjoy one that you know is equally as delicious. Sometimes you just have to commit to making it yourself and it always ends up being the right choice! Save money and make it healthy! We enjoyed hash browns, scrambled eggs and a whole wheat bagel with coffee.

Day at the Pool

I love trying to find fun things for the family to do now that we have a little one. It seems like there is always something new to introduce little Ry to. So we went to the pool as a family this weekend!

Rylee has been to the pool before, but she was only around 3 months then so she really didn’t know what was going on and I feel like she couldn’t enjoy it.

But this time, she loved kicking around in the water!

And she is used to taking baths now so she is familiar with the water. She smiled so big I could see all of her top teeth for once!

Plus how cute is she in a bathing suit? I wish it was acceptable to dress her in a bathing suit all the time. I can’t get enough of it!

After a few hours in the sum and splashing around, we had to head home to put Rylee down fora  nap. I tried to get her to fall asleep wrapped in a towel in the shade like I have seen other babies and mommas do, but she was totally out of her comfort zone and wouldn’t have it.

So we got dressed and headed home.

When we got home, we put the bubs down for her nap after all of the excitement at the pool.

It worked out perfectly because Brett and I chose to stay home again for lunch and enjoy the backyard with a little BBQ.

We enjoyed a refreshing sweet tea and lemonade beverage while I laid out to catch some rays and Brett cooked us up some turkey burgers.

I requested turkey burgers with avocado for lunch. It is probably one of my favorite combos. And Brett delivered.

This burger was a stacked one! Served with pasta salad on the side.

I love a good BBQ on at Saturday Afternoon.

Sunday was just a regular get stuff done kind of a day. It consisted of running errands, grocery shopping, Brett doing yard work while I did the laundry and some general relaxing and preppring for the week to come.

And now Monday is here and it is off to another great week!

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

What was the highlight of your weekend?

Mine was definitely heading to the pool with the family.
