I hope everyone had an amazing Easter holiday weekend!
This past weekend, I headed back home for another wedding. This time of the daughter of one of my parent’s dearest friends, Jessica, to her now husband, Jordan. Jessica and her family have been very close family friends of ours for years. Since before I was born actually! Cindi, Jessie’s mom was the officiant at Brett and I’s wedding and it was great to be there at hers.
Brett took Rylee home to celebrate the Easter holiday with his family, which worked out really well because it was an early wedding and it would have been very hard to accommodate a baby there.
So, I attended along with my parents.
It was held on Pier #2 in downtown West Palm Beach.
Although the weather looks stormy in the picture above, it was a beautiful day for the wedding to take place outside. The clouds came at the perfect time, shading the guests from the scorching sun and sparing us from any rain.
It was actually really hot during the day, and we were given fans while we waited for the bridal party to descend down the pier.
The clouds actually brought long a really nice breeze during the entire ceremony.
The bride and groom kindly asked that we didn’t take any photos of the wedding, as they had many great photographers and videographers capturing the special moment, allowing us to enjoy the moment as it was.
It was actually really special, however, I don’t have any photos of the ceremony which I always love sharing on the blog! But I can totally respect their request and I cant wait to see the photos that were captured during the wonderful ceremony!
I LOVED Jessica’s ideas for colors for the bridal party! It was a mix of dark greens, turquoise, and purples and all of the bridesmaids wore a different color dress, all different styles. The groomsmens’ ties matched the same color dress of the bridesmaid they escorted. And the flower girl’s tutu was a mix of all the colors, which was adorable. It was really unique and pretty!
I’ll have to snag a photo off Facebook once she posts them so you can see how beautiful it was, too!
Then it was time for the cocktail hour. The clouds suddenly disappeared to let the sun shine beautifully on the inter-coastal as we enjoyed drinks and apps in the shade.
It was so nice to be able to hang out with my parents one-on-one, which hasn’t happened in a while!
And it was great to see friends and family that we haven’t seen in a while, too!
When it was time to head inside for the reception, we were wowed by the venue.
It was gorgeous and open with windows on all sides so you can see the sun shining and the glimmering water of the inter-coastal from our seats.
It was a beautiful atmosphere and I loved the natural light filling the room as the reception began and the sun was setting.
Jessie is a dancer, so of course her and the groom had a really cute first dance routine!
The food was really yummy and festive as well! We enjoyed jambalaya, black beans and rice, plantains, salad and roast pork.
I definitely wanted to go back for seconds, but the glow sticks were out and it was time to dance!!
We had such a great time at the wedding!
Although I missed Rylee’s first Easter, I made sure that Brett sent me pictures of them all dressed up!
And with Rylee and her very first Easter basket!
I was excited to come home to see them, but it was such a beautiful wedding and the getaway was really nice.
I definitely wanted to be Winston on the ride home, though.
That is exactly how I felt when I got home too! Haha, I was exhausted and ready for a good night’s sleep!
I hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend as well!
