Bikini Series Challenge Day 2

It’s day 2 of the Bikini Series Challenge from Tone it Up and I love the morning “booty calls!”

According to Karena and Katrina of Tone it Up, a Booty Call is when you wake up 30 minutes earlier than normal to complete any cardio exercise for about 20 minutes to start off your day. They say studies show that people who workout first thing in the morning burn a slightly higher percentage of fat. Plus, it is such a great feeling to know that you accomplished a workout in the morning.

This morning I completed a Cardio Killer workout from The Nike Training App.

It definitely got my heart rate up!

There is also a Full Body & Yoga workout video that went up on their site today that I am planning to complete when I get home. I love that they offer a video of the workout as well as a printable or downloadable PDF. That way you can follow along in the privacy of your home or even take the workout to the gym and follow it off of your phone depending on your schedule.

For the past two days for lunch, I have been eating the Lemon, Spinach and Chickpea salad from that guide, minus the spinach.

I had everything handy to make the salad minus the spinach! So I decided to make it anyways and use the chickpea recipe in my salad, which also included tomatoes, cucumbers and turkey.

It ended up being really good! The chickpea salad actually became the dressing on my salad and had a very light and tangy flavor. It was really yummy!
