Bikini Series Day 3? 4?

Ok, so I am already slacking a little bit on the Bikini Series Challenge, but I am getting better today!

Last night I got so caught up in getting some things done for Rylee’s party. Arts & crafts always take longer than I anticipate!

I just wanted to get a few things done and it ended up taking me all night!

So I missed my workout for Day 3, which I was going to head to the gym for a 3 mile run and a great booty routine. I was so tired from work too and have a lot to do for Rylee’s birthday party…. anyways no more excuses!

I’ll be picking back up the challenge tonight when I get home. I’m gonna pick up from Wednesday night’s booty workout because I heard it was a great one!

Although I may have slacked a bit with the workouts, I am still eating really well this week!

And this morning I made a delicious smoothie!

I pinned a few smoothie helping tips on my Eat Pinterest Board and tried one out today. I think the thing with smoothies is trial and error. I followed this advice from Fitsugar.com on how to make the perfect smoothie, but it just didn’t work for me. It needed ice and way less liquid. So here is what I came up with

My Vanilla Berry-Green Smoothie

I just mixed together the following into my Magic Bullet:

  • 1 cup Spinach
  • 1 cup Blueberries
  • 1 cup Strawberries
  • 1 container Oikos Vanilla Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Cup Water
  • Honey
  • Ice

The Fitsugar recipe suggested 1 cup of liquid, but it was just too much so I had to pour some out and I added ice instead because I like the slushy texture to a smoothie.

I also had to add honey to taste, because the blueberries were so bitter, so it really needed it!

It ended up being really yummy!

My goal is to perfect my smoothie making skills, now!
