Rylee’s party was such a success this past weekend! We had such a wonderful time and I must send out a huge thank you to Gigi’s Cupcakes who made this party extra special by making the cutest cupcakes matching Rylee’s theme, and the most beautiful cake I have ever seen!
Gigi’s Cupcakes is a little cupcake shop in Downtown Orlando, but everyone in the area has heard of them because of their delicious and gorgeous cupcakes.
When you walk into the shop in Colonial Plaza, the smell alone puts you in the mood for a cupcake.
And then, when you see them, it is like you are in cupcake heaven!
They are so cute and the flavors are so amazing. Their menu changes everyday so there is always a new cupcake to try. So far, every one I have tried has been delicious.
I especially love the Lemon Daisy cupcake which is what Rylee’s cake was made out of.
The cake that Gigi’s Cupcakes made was so beautiful and exactly what I wanted for the party, and more! I was so pleased with it when I first saw it and almost didn’t want to cut it open!
But it was Lemon Daisy and pretty much all I could think about during the entire party so I had to have some and share with wealth with our friends!
And the cupcakes we got went perfectly with the colors I chose for Rylee’s party, which were pink and gray with chalkboard accents.
They were delicious, too!
Setting up in the morning was really fun, especially because my mom and I stayed up until midnight the night before to get everything ready so it was easy as 123 to get everything in its place. I have always wanted to set up a gorgeous dessert table and I finally did it!
I am so happy with how it turned out and I pretty much owe it to Gigi’s Cupcakes!
The decorations came out great, but the desserts really tied everything together and made the table a focal point for the party.
The cupcakes were the star of the show, but I also am really proud of my set up! I made the custom water bottle labels and the cupcake flags with a few sayings on them: “It’s a ONE-derful Life!” “Happy First Birthday, Rylee” and “DELISH!”
To stick with the chalkboard theme, I put labels on the plastic cups and provided pens for people to write their names on them.
It really came in handy because I talked to a few people who lost their cup and having their names on them really helped!
Everything came out so nice and Rylee’s birthday outfit even matched the decor!
She was too cute!
My little munchkin is one year old! Can you believe it!?
More recap on the party once the guests started to arrive to come very soon!
